The promise

Our promise

No talent should go to waste just because it was born far from a big stadium. Every neighborhood football school is a seedbed, and every coach who keeps one going deserves the best tools. That's why we bring to every city what makes Cerro Porteño the most consistent youth academy in the country: method, care and a fair eye.

  1. Better-prepared coaches

  2. Better-organized football schools

  3. Boys and girls who are better cared for and better seen

Free, open and with equality between women's and men's football.

The program

What Semillero Azulgrana is

It's the Club Cerro Porteño Foundation's program that works hand in hand with municipal governments to organize and strengthen youth football in each city. The municipal government leads the program in its territory; the Foundation provides the methodology, the instructors and the technical eye of its Youth Academy.

A Semillero coach watches closely, teaches better, always cares and alerts the club.

Watch

Every boy and every girl, using the club's criteria.

Teach

With games, with the ball and with a plan for each age group.

Care

For their body, their data and their peace of mind.

Alert

The club, when you spot talent. Always together with the family.

Scope of the agreement

Three stages, one growing relationship

The training is the starting point, not a one-off event. The stages build on each other and overlap in time.

  1. Stage 1

    Ongoing training

We train coaches, trainers and anyone interested to watch, teach and care for boys and girls, with planning by age group, athlete health and good practices. It ends with a certificate.

    Open now in Ñemby

  2. Stage 2

    Advisory support and school seal

We support football schools so that they all work with one shared method: age groups, criteria, health, education and follow-up. Those that achieve it receive the standardized school seal awarded by the municipal government.

    After the training

  3. Stage 3

    Observation and support

Club observers watch on an ongoing basis in the city, with clear criteria and a formal referral channel: voluntary, free and always together with the family.

    According to the operational plan

What everyone gains

Everyone wins when the neighborhood plays better

  • Municipal government

A program with a method, indicators and accountability: certified coaches, schools with the seal, neighborhoods reached and girls' participation measured. A comprehensive health policy for children that makes your city a regional benchmark for youth football.

  • Football schools and coaches

Free training with Cerro Porteño's methodology, a certificate, materials for the pitch and a path toward the standardized school seal. A well-organized football school earns families' trust and grows.

  • Families

Better-trained coaches, safe practices and a clear commitment: nobody charges to watch your son or daughter, nobody promises anything and nobody makes you sign anything. If there's talent, the club talks to you.

  • Boys and girls

More ball, more play and coaches who teach better. Girls and boys with the same opportunities. School and health come first.

  • Local businesses and companies

Your brand, right beside the place where talent is born. Support coach training, materials for football schools and the program's events. Real visibility in your city, with clear rules and without using any child's image.

  • Paraguayan football

More trained coaches across the country, a network of football schools working with sound criteria, and talent that no longer depends on where it was born.

Route

From Ñemby to the whole country

It all starts in one city. Ñemby is the first and the one leading the way: what is sown here multiplies.

Every trained coach teaches their whole group better. Every school with the seal is a model for the one in the next neighborhood. Every city that joins makes the network bigger.

Today, many talented kids from outside the capital have to travel for hours for someone to see them. With coaches trained in their own city and a permanent channel to the club, that first look reaches them where they are.

Naming the next cities does not mean an agreement has been signed.

The next cities are the ones we will invite, in this order, to join the program. Arriving in each one depends on an agreement with its municipal government.

Are you from a municipal government? Let's talk

24/7/365 scouting

Eyes open all year round, with artificial intelligence and human judgment

Cerro Porteño already uses video analysis, data and artificial intelligence tools in its Youth Academy. The Semillero brings that way of working to the cities, step by step and when appropriate.

24/7/365: the door is always open

The club's channel for receiving videos and talent tips is open every day of the year. It doesn't mean someone is watching your child: it means that when a Semillero coach sees something, they always have somewhere to report it.

Artificial intelligence that organizes, people who decide

AI helps organize videos, identify plays and compare data to decide what to look at first. Technology speeds things up; football judgment decides. A person from the club always makes the decision, and always together with the family.

A fair eye

The same criteria for everyone: girls and boys, from any neighborhood, whether they speak Guaraní or Spanish. We take each child's age and growth into account, so that no one is left out for maturing later.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything?

No. All program activities are free and open to the community.

Who can sign up?

People aged 18 or over who teach football or want to learn how: coaches, head coaches, assistants, people who run football schools, Physical Education teachers, moms, dads and anyone interested. You don't need to have studied sport.

Do I have to live in Ñemby?

This first course is for Ñemby, and priority goes to people who teach or live in the city. If you're from another city, sign up anyway: we'll let you know when the Semillero reaches yours.

What do I need?

An email address, a phone with Telegram, time for the 3 classes, comfortable clothes, a cap, water and your phone charged.

Why Telegram?

That's where you'll get course notices, and it's where the Semillero Ñemby coaches' group lives. We'll show you how to install it and how to hide your number.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, if you pass. The assessment is practical and oral, never written. If you complete all three classes, you also get a certificate of participation.

What is the Law No. 6572 certificate?

It's proof that you are not listed in the National Registry of Sex Offenders against Children and Adolescents. It's free, you get it on the Judiciary's website with your ID number, you can do it from your phone and it's valid for 6 months. If you don't know how, we'll help you.

I'm a mom or dad. Can I take the course?

Of course. It's for adults. Boys and girls don't sign up: they keep playing with their coach.

Could my child get to Cerro through this?

The Semillero doesn't promise trials or signings. If a coach sees a promising child, they let the club know, and whatever happens next is decided by the club, always together with the family. It's voluntary, free and creates no tie or exclusivity of any kind.

Can someone charge me to have my child watched?

Never. Watching, trialing or recommending is free. If anyone charges you in the name of the club or the program, let us know through the reporting channel.

What do you do with my data?

We use it only for the program: your registration, course notices, your certificate and the program register. We don't share it with any outside party without your permission. You can view, correct or delete it from Mi Semillero.

Are there online courses?

Not yet. Mark what interests you in your profile and we'll let you know when there are.

How does my football school get the seal?

It's Stage 2 of the program, and the seal is awarded by the municipal government. Register your football school when you sign up and we'll walk you through the steps.

What does 24/7/365 scouting mean?

It means the club's channel for receiving tips and videos is open every day of the year. It isn't surveillance: it's a door that is always open.

When will the Semillero reach my city?

When its municipal government signs an agreement with the Foundation. Sign up through “Notify me when it arrives”.

Can I speak Guaraní?

Yes. In the course you can ask and answer in Guaraní, Jopara or Spanish.
